Hi, I was looking for a program that is free to record streaming videos, I found something called WM Recorder but it cost money, I was wondering if anyone here knows of a free program? Thanks guys

Hey risky... just what is it you are wanting to do? What is the format of the original video source? Is this something you want to compress and/or convert to another format for posting/sharing over the net. Let me know. I can point you to some freeware/shareware that will do the trick.

Hi   bwt1953   from your  reply  to  risky  i think you are expert . my problem is  :
I am recieving  STREAMING MOVIES from  satelite dish by adopter card ( SkySTtar  2) and using aprogram called OPEN SKY prvided by the site which provide the channels (www.broadsat.com)  . I used  WM recorder  but it allways aske about the  URL which i could not find out .by the internet explorer is not use ,only open sky progrem is used and  windowos media  plyer

asker, look at he WM recorder splash screen, specifically the MODE button. When you set up your recorder you must have selected URL mode. You need to click on the MODE button and change that to either ADA or PROXY. Try one, then the other.

Click on theMODE button, a dialog box will come up. At the lower left of the box are three radio buttons. Select ADA, then OK and try the recorder. If that doesn't work, try PROXY. If that still doesn't work, then let me know and we'll look deeper into the problem. You may have to reinstall the recorder, or at least re-enable it to recognize your network card.
